On a nice day at home I have finished the mix/master of "Breathing Monster", on its long version, as played in Centre Pompidou Metz on april 5, 2013. Might well become a new double CD (109 minutes in all)

Reprise du "Muller Machines" de Wilfried Wendling, à Dijon. Cette fois-ci je jouais avec DEUX grosses caisses symphoniques (et pas une). un vrai plaisir que de jouer de la grosse caisse, alors deux!. Et super acceuil par l'équipe de Why note.

___3,4 & 5 /04/2013 :
3 days in Pompidou Center in Metz, with 3 different programs of dance-music projects made with Myriam Gourfink : Araneide, Corbeau and Breathing Monster. This last one was presented in a "special" form, a double-duration program. With a really huge PA, for the solo bass set-up!

___25->28/03/2013 :
Residency at ZKM, Karlsruhe, for the very first steps of work on Data_noise, the noise/movement (or is it noise/stilness ?) project which will be premiered there on november 2013. It will be music (electronic, laptop) and movement/stilness (and the actual data-noise generation). with me and Myriam Gourfink.
We did work on the stage set-up, some lights, some preliminary live-video things, and then I worked on software developement with "my" assistant, David Wagner - a great guy!

we also did some preliminary dance experiments - it probably will look very different but it gives an idea :

A quiet day at home, so I had a listen to the recording I made of BESTIOLES, when we played it in Paris on Feb 28th. And found it good enough to spend some time on it, in Pro Tool, and actually finish its mix and mastering. Listening it back sounds good. Might end up being my next CD release!

the special guest was Francisco Meirino, and this was the first time we played together - I liked it very very much. I first played (bass) for 30 minutes, then made a sign to Francisco and the end of the solo bass was a 20 minutes duo of him and me, me playing mostly computer (with just a note or two on teh bass) when he was playing analog stuff. It was far removed from any harsh noise, rather "half-silent".

performance of Nicolette Grasso, using music composed by Kasper T. Toeplitz. I have not seen it, but what Nicolette says is :
"L'espace est complètement noir, il y a un tapis noir par terre sur lequel il y a des volumes noirs qui créent différents hauteurs, donc l'impression c'est que le sol n'est pas plat.
Il n'y a qu'une performeuse (Luna) qui danse - sous le tapis noir donc il n'y a pas de corps visible, elle fait bouger l'installation-. Il y a une partie video réalisé par Quiet Ensemble qui interagit avec le sol en donnant l'impression qu'il bouge." Festival Vetrinale, Rome
